Afflato

Just breathe.

An audio plugin that listens to your flute, and shapes its sound around every note.

Black flute in A = 436 Hz, played by Johnny. Dry, or through Afflato.

The Afflato plugin: Clean, Shape, Space and Drone controls around a screen showing the note being played and its harmonics.
Listen's result on the plugin's screen: A minor, a drone on A and its fifth, tuning A = 432 Hz, with Natural, Clean and Breathy choices.

Listen

Play for a few seconds. Afflato learns your flute and sets itself: tone, breath, room, level, even your tuning and the drone’s key.

The plugin's screen: the note E5, its harmonics as tall lines, and the breath as fine grain between them.

Tone and breath

It hears every note and separates it from the breath around it, so you can bring the air forward or let the tone ring clean.

The Space panel: Space, Size and Duck pads.

Space

Rooms from small to vast that step back while you play and bloom in the silences between phrases.

The drone key picker: twelve keys with A chosen, a fifth above it, and tuning A = 432.0 Hz.

A drone in your key

A sustained drone tuned to the key you play in, and to your flute itself, at A = 432 or wherever it sits.

The same plugin in its cream finish, with the screen kept dark.
Dark, or cream.
